Family fishing make for a fun day...

What a great day to spend outside doing what we love best....Fishing...!!! Thank you Lord for the great creation of the lakes and the wonderful weather we had today. After church, we all, Cee,Dustin, Cannin, Wee, Mike, and Mimi and my brother Todd all went fishing. Started out at Lake Quitman and ended up at Lake Fork. I didn't catch anything to brag about..neither did the rest of them except for my sister and brother. She had to let hers go because it didn't size up in the slot. Got them fileted up and in the freezer. Ready for the family fish fry. Got a get off and get a shower..maybe I'll be back tomorrow.

It's been a while...

Alot has happened since my last post. Cannin is now three and rules the roost. Life couldn't be any grander. Each day after work I pick him up and we spend the evenings together. There isn't a blade of grass/weed that he has trompled on. He is a very very busy little boy. He loves to helps Umps in the garden and gather the eggs. Cannin loves his Uncle Jar-Jar...they are the best of buddies, he also loves Wee's kids and they love him just as much. He is always wanting to go home with them. He is pretty excited about having a baby sister..let's see how excited he is when he has to share his stuff..lol. We all excited about the new addition to the family...Little Miss Sawyer Kate, we can't wait to meet you.

Happy 1st Birthday Cannin..!

What a joy you have brought to out lives. Grammie is very proud of you and I love to show you off. I love the little wrinkled up nose, the little choppy steps you take as you learn to walk, the babbling you say as you learn to talk. I love hold and rock you as you wind down at night getting ready for bed. I love everything about you. We are truly blessed by you.

Time has flown by, it was like yesterday you were born. I remember every minute of that day. The morning you were born Jan. 15, 2009 at 6:18 am, a 7lbs 4 oz, little boy that was 18 inches long, forever changed our lives. I love you very much and look forward to the many years to come.

3 months old...

and growing so fast....

It seems like yesterday he made his grand entrance into the world. How he has changed...! Hoping to see him and his mommy and daddy real soon....I miss them bunches...!

I love it when his mommy calls and says someone wants to talk to you and I hear his tiny little voice in the background....he loves laughing out loud. Can't wait till they move closer to home.

I got to see my sweet baby tonight on the web cam...how exciting...!

It's been forever...!

Where do I begin..
Cee and Cannin came in from Ohio for a short visit which turned into a longer stay than planned, and we loved every minute of it. When it came time for them to leave, I was able to go back with them and spend all of my spring break.
What a joy to have my grandson stay with us. Needless to say....we were all sleep deprived. That boy just will not sleep and when he does sleep, it is only for a short power nap.
He was two months old on Sunday and had to go get his shots today. Poor baby, so far he is doing ok...a little cranky and slight fever, but nothing out of the ordinary. At his 2 months appt he weighted in at 11 lbs 4 ozs. He is a growing boy..! He is so precious...he gives the cutest little smile now when you talk to him and just coo's like he is carrying on a conversation. He has his mommy and daddy figured out...he knows that all he has to do is whimper and they are "johnny on the spot" to pick him up. So, needless to say...he loves to be held. Of course he had me fooled to...of course I picked him up, before he could ever get the whimper out...! He is such a snuggler and cuddler and I love snuggling and cuddling with him. We are truly blessed...! (Can I get an Amen).

My dad had to have a triple bypass. I am happy to report that all is well and he is home healing nicely. I hated see him hooked up to all those machines and a machine breathing for him. It takes a lot to get him down and he looked so helpless laying there. My brother, Pam and Cristina came in from Colorado, it was so nice to see them, but hated the circumstance.

We also had a chance to visit with my Aunt Pat. She is home from the hospital and doing great and getting stronger everyday.

Now Cee and Cannin have gone home and I am back from Ohio....spring break is over and I have to get back to reality....dang it..So I will have to get out and make the best of it...!

I am making a trip to Toys R Us...thinking Cannin needs a new toy from his Grammie and Grumpies...! and for a very special little girl....Sophie..she will be one on Valentine's Day...what a sweet girl....how time flies.

We went to the hospital to see my cousin's new grandbaby...Lauren....cute as a button....! of course...!
Congratulations to James and Scarlet....and to the grandparents...Michele and Stoney...! Don't spoil her to much..! Welcome to the family...Lauren Michele...!

No news on my Aunt Pat other than she is getting somewhat better each day. Keep her in your prayer!

Good News...!

My cousin Michele just called with some great news...They are on the way to the hospital to meet their new granddaughter....Lauren...
They start the induction tonight and if they are lucky....she will be here in no time...if not...they are in for a long night...Pray for a quick labor and delivery....
she was so excited...I wish them all the luck..there is no other feeling...

She updated me on my Aunt Pat, her mother. She had a few bad days this last weekend,,but things seem to be looking better. Praying for your speedy recovery Aunt Pat...Love you

I am so excited....I went to Wal-Mart and stocked up on baby stuff for Cannin so that Cee doesn't have to pack all that stuff. Of course I had to pick up a few extra things for him also...I got him the cutest mirror that hangs on the seat so that you can see the baby and they can see themselves....well this one has a remote that makes it light up and/or play music....they didn't have this neat stuff when my kids were babies...then at Bealls I found the cutest pair of shoes for him....then I found me two pair....I have to stop buying shoes !!

Counting Down the Days...

This time next week Cee and Cannin will be home....!

Can you guess what I will be doing...? I will be spoiling that baby rotten...!


I can't wait to show him off to all my family (only those I like) that hasn't seen him yet and to all my friends at work.... it is flu season so we will have to be very careful and not let him come in contact with any of those sick kids and germs at work...



I plan on taking a couple days off to spend time with them and my sister....Girls day..shopping..!

We are also planning a day to Canton....don't know if Cannin is up to a shopping day in Canton...so we will be leaving him home with Grumpy's. That should make for a interesting day....! Canny loves him Grumpy's....!



To Angie....I hope your heart heals soon. Cherish your memories...

talked to his momma today...he is eating good...she said he is becoming a little piggy,,,but has decided he wants to stay up at night....only the beginning of many sleepless night.

Here's a shout out to one of my high school friends....Angie and her family....So sorry to hear about your lose. I know its hard and you have a lot of unanswered questions. You and your family are forever in our prayers.

Another shout out to my cousin...Michelle and her family..her mom and dad was on vacation in Florida and her mom ended up in the hospital in ICU. She is very sick and in critical condition. Pray she has no set back for 24 hours or so and her chances of recovery increase greatly. She has a long road of recovery ahead of her. You and your family are forever in our prayers..Get well soon Aunt Pat. We Love You...Be strong Uncle Jimmy..,We Love You too...

Made it....this last week was one I never want to re-live....WOW...

I am doing a little house work before I head of to Canton....What shall I buy Cannin...? You know Valentines is coming up soon...!

Poor Cannin had the colic last night and I know his mommy and daddy are worn out....Wish I was there to help..! Sending them some happy vibes...Get your rest mommy and daddy...!

I am thinking I need a road trip to go see them....heart is aching to hold-kiss-cuddle that baby....! Don't let him forget his Grammie and Grumpys...

Just another day..!

We have almost made it through the week....what a long week it has been...!

Talked to Cee and baby Cannin is doing great....growing like a weed. He is two weeks old today...

They have gotten a lot of snow up there in Ohio, so they have pretty much shut everything down, therefore, Dustin is home. Every time I talk to Cee, he is holding Cannin or he is asleep holding Cannin. He is spoiling that baby rotten. Now at night when they go to bed, he thinks he has to be held.....!

I say hold that baby....he is only little once...they grow up before you know it...!

Missing all that sweetness...

Well, I made it back to reality. I had to get back in the grove of things. It was hard...I was tired.
Today was better...my eyes didn't hurt as bad.

I had the worst flight home I have ever had. My heart was aching and there was nothing I could do about it. I needed some more of Cannin's sweet baby sugar. Just one more kiss...one more snuggle...and a little more cuddling. I could sit and rock that sweet baby all day long.

Talked to Cee today...they are getting alot of snow and its really cold. Cannin decides he was staying up half the night. She said he finally went to sleep around 2:30 am. Hope he doesn't get his days and nights mixed up. Dustin came home early today b/c of the snow, so she was able to sneek in a nap and when she got up it was their turn to nap. Cannin loves to sleep on his daddy's chest...spoiled..!

Leaving

Today is the day I have been dreading....I have to go back home to Texas and leave the kids and my new grand baby. I have had the time of my life....I loved the midnight feedings, the rocking, cuddling and snuggling. I so miss it already. It breaks my heart to be so far away from him. Thank goodness for modern technology. We have a Web cam...I will be able to see him every night and that is better than nothing. Here's to cyber "Hugs and Kisses."

Yesterday we took Cannin and had his portraits made...OMG...way to cute....they did a great job.
Grammie and Grumpy went broke...! If you want to see them, e-mail me and I will send you the website and password. They are a must see...!

Today Cannin is 1 week and 3 days and growing like a weed. He takes almost a 3 oz bottle but still throwing up like every other bottle. The colic is getting better....I think a lot of it is that he likes to be held by his Grammie!!

Dustin has a two week training next month in Feb, so we are hoping Cee and Cannin can home then..that baby is going to be so rotten, he stinks!
