Hooray for the weekend..

Made it....this last week was one I never want to re-live....WOW...

I am doing a little house work before I head of to Canton....What shall I buy Cannin...? You know Valentines is coming up soon...!

Poor Cannin had the colic last night and I know his mommy and daddy are worn out....Wish I was there to help..! Sending them some happy vibes...Get your rest mommy and daddy...!

I am thinking I need a road trip to go see them....heart is aching to hold-kiss-cuddle that baby....! Don't let him forget his Grammie and Grumpys...

Just another day..!

We have almost made it through the week....what a long week it has been...!

Talked to Cee and baby Cannin is doing great....growing like a weed. He is two weeks old today...

They have gotten a lot of snow up there in Ohio, so they have pretty much shut everything down, therefore, Dustin is home. Every time I talk to Cee, he is holding Cannin or he is asleep holding Cannin. He is spoiling that baby rotten. Now at night when they go to bed, he thinks he has to be held.....!

I say hold that baby....he is only little once...they grow up before you know it...!

Missing all that sweetness...

Well, I made it back to reality. I had to get back in the grove of things. It was hard...I was tired.
Today was better...my eyes didn't hurt as bad.

I had the worst flight home I have ever had. My heart was aching and there was nothing I could do about it. I needed some more of Cannin's sweet baby sugar. Just one more kiss...one more snuggle...and a little more cuddling. I could sit and rock that sweet baby all day long.

Talked to Cee today...they are getting alot of snow and its really cold. Cannin decides he was staying up half the night. She said he finally went to sleep around 2:30 am. Hope he doesn't get his days and nights mixed up. Dustin came home early today b/c of the snow, so she was able to sneek in a nap and when she got up it was their turn to nap. Cannin loves to sleep on his daddy's chest...spoiled..!

Leaving

Today is the day I have been dreading....I have to go back home to Texas and leave the kids and my new grand baby. I have had the time of my life....I loved the midnight feedings, the rocking, cuddling and snuggling. I so miss it already. It breaks my heart to be so far away from him. Thank goodness for modern technology. We have a Web cam...I will be able to see him every night and that is better than nothing. Here's to cyber "Hugs and Kisses."

Yesterday we took Cannin and had his portraits made...OMG...way to cute....they did a great job.
Grammie and Grumpy went broke...! If you want to see them, e-mail me and I will send you the website and password. They are a must see...!

Today Cannin is 1 week and 3 days and growing like a weed. He takes almost a 3 oz bottle but still throwing up like every other bottle. The colic is getting better....I think a lot of it is that he likes to be held by his Grammie!!

Dustin has a two week training next month in Feb, so we are hoping Cee and Cannin can home then..that baby is going to be so rotten, he stinks!

Fun Day

Today was a great day.....!!

Cee and Dustin went to town today for some grown ppl time and I was the lucky one to stay behind with Cannin. I gave him his morning bath, rubbed him down in some baby magic lotion and fed him his bottle. There is nothing that smells any better than a "Baby Magic Baby" After his bottle, we just rocked and rocked. Luving every minute of it....

Blood Work

Cannin had to go in today for his third round of blood work. Happy to report his levels are good...little high but ok..He is a little on the yellow side....but cute as ever. His next appt is in two weeks. This poor baby has been poked on so much and what a trooper..he just barely cries.

Last night was the first night that he slept any....he has had such a belly ache that lasted for ever. I think they have found the magic formula. No more spitting up or gas. He is now up to a 2 oz bottle...that is if they can keep him awake. He gained a half ounce since last Sunday. He now weighs in at a whopping 6 lb 15 ozs. The doctors want to increase his fluids to help the jaundice break down.

We went yesterday and bought him some new preemie clothes....some that fit...and if you could see his closet, he doesn't need any more but those are way to big. "Grow Baby Grow"

Truly Blessed

There is no other feeling....! No words to describe....! I am proud to announce that I am now officially Grammie. Cannin Blake was born Jan. 15, 2009 at 6:18 am. He weighed in at 7 lbs 4 oz and was 19.9 inches long.

It was a long and hard labor for Cee, but she was a trooper. Dustin did an awesome job being her coach, he was her rock.

Cannin was great....few concerns b/c they had to use the suction. After checking him over, he got a clean bell of health. The only concern now is that he is a little jaundice and has a bruise on his little head, with time that will go away. He had to go get his blood checked today and has to go back on Tuesday. Can't stand the thought of them poking that baby. He also is having a hard time with his formula. He is on his third kind and hoping he can hold it down. At his check today, he weighed in at 6 lbs 14 oz.

I am lucky enough to get to spend some time with them at home and watch them grow as a family. It will be hard to leave.

I love to just sit at this little guy...he has stolen my heart...!

Today was my cousin's daughter-in-laws shower...sorry I couldn't be there. Her baby is due at the end of Feb, three weeks after Cannin's orginal date. Here's to wonderful shower, Scarlet. Hope you get alot of goodies. Can't wait to meet Lauren.
